Default Winter photos

1. Outside my house when heavy snow starts falling.

2. Dedicated “Cable Guy” still working.

3. Angel having a sun tan.

4. Lonely bench.

5. Horsing around while no one is watching

6. First try night shot. (Not too successful but I love those snow flicks)

7. My old running shoes left on the deck.

8. Playing with yellow filter.

9. Lighthouse pointing one direction.

10. Some brave fishermen.

11. I’m not even dare to go down there!

12. But what a different sitting in a tropical like shopping mall.

13. Finally some spring in sight.

14. The river starts to flow.

Those were initial rendom pickedfroma whole bunch. Taken with S3, ISO80/100, f3.5/5.6/8.0.
Resized, strightened, colour, contrast, level adjusted.

I'll take any comments.
Enjoy

nice shots .. I have had enough winter so far .. maybe I'll post some of my winter shots at some time.
Strange, but I like the night shot .. good first try.
I also like the cold, loneliness of the running shoes..
#9 .. very nice .. it almost has an implied contrast of the heat of the beach against the snow of the winter

Thanks for your kind words Rab.
The weather is going to get better and warmer this weekend, may be I can go out and shoot some more.
Likewise, can't wait to see some of yours.

Great shots. I like the thought of the angel getting some sun.

Where in southern Ontario are you located? I'm not far away, so probably have experienced the overall mild winter as you have.

Hi Larry,
You are west of Detroit/Windsor. I am by the rim of Lake Ontario. So far still haven't experienced any extreme snow storm this winter.

Yeah, I know where I am, but you? I'm pretty familiar with Ontario as both my parents were Canadians and I went to St. Michaels at U of T back in the early 60's.

So Larry, you should remember these downtown TO hosiptal areas. But I'm in Oakville. Last time I went to Chicago had 3ft. of snow. May be one day in summer.

So you're not that far from Toronto. I was there when they opened the first subway. A couple of your shots look familiar, but there's been a lot of new construction over the last 50 years. I've only been back 3-4 times.
