Here a few macro shots with the G1. These are all testshots to see if the Raynox 150 could be used with the G1 lenses in the first days I owned the G1. The used lens for these shots is the 45-200 panasonic zoom lens in combination with the Raynox 150. The 14-45 mm lens of the G1 can be used also with the Raynox 150, but gives vignetting so you have to crop. The data of the used lens are : 45-200 mm stabilised, in 35mm format this translates to 90-400 mm, with a aperture range of f3.5 - f22. Most shots are handheld with autofocus and lens stabilisation on. I've put the data by the shots. Shooting maco with the G1 / Raynox is less versitle then with the S3 cause the panasonic lenses zoom external and they get shorter / longer as you zoom out / in. To get focus on the subject you have to alter the distance between the cam and the subject as you zoom. With the S3 and the use of the lens adapter for the Raynox this is not the case. On the shots is only the very basic PP done: very slight level adjustment (blackpoint), around 5% highlight adjustment, mild defog (8%, radius 60) , resizing from 4000*3000 to 1024 * 768 for posting and a bit sharpening after resizing.
I hope this gives a first impression about the macro capabilities with the Raynox 150. The clarity and IQ of these are amazing. My top favourite is #5. Other favourites are the first two and #4.

I like the #8 the bee with the dew/rain drops on the flower. #5 The pansy with the caterpillar is cool too. They are all so pretty and the focus is great.

Ooh, the 150 works nicely with the G1 Jan. Very instructive. Thanks for showing us these. I particularly like #4, #5 and #6.

Great Pictures, still struggling with the DCR150 onn the XSI but I blame user error more than the lens... Thanks for showing what is possible!
