Default First attempt at a california sunrise

This is not edited. There was a tree in my way so I tried to use it to my advantage. Could it have been better?

It is a nice shot.

I'll throw this out, I might have stepped a bit to the left so that the sun was in the opening between the limbs and not have the one limb crossing the sun. This would have allowed the tree limbs to frame around the sun. However, I will be the first to admit that such action might just be personal preference rather than actually improving the image. You probably got the image the best it could be done anyway.

I like the colors, but not the tree.. it runs too much interference. Perhaps having the tree off to one side (the right?) and the sun to the other might be a better perspective.. if you could see it against the dark sky (the tree that is).
